The Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA), introduced in January 2014, is a rebranding of the Public Sector 5S Practices and serves as a strategic initiative to enhance the quality of public service delivery. This rebranding aligns with evolving organisational demands that emphasise improved performance, efficiency, and competitiveness, while fostering a culture of creativity and innovation within public sector departments and agencies.
Within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), the implementation of EKSA is supported by a structured governance framework comprising the TNCPI EKSA Implementation Committee (Main Committee) as the central coordinating body alongside zonal implementation committees representing the following:
TNCPI Office (BPI and BPMU)
Putra Science Park (PSP)
Research Management Centre (RMC)
This structure ensures that EKSA is implemented in a coordinated, comprehensive, and standardised manner across all entities under TNCPI.
The core of EKSA implementation is based on the 5S practices:
Sort
Set in Order
Shine
Standardise
Sustain
In addition, EKSA incorporates several enhanced elements to strengthen its overall impact:
Corporate Image
Creativity and Innovation
Green Practices
Conducive Environment
Agency Diversity
The integration of the 5S principles with these enhanced elements positions EKSA as a holistic and dynamic workplace management approach, supporting organisational excellence and continuous improvement.
