The Used Cooking Oil Collection Programme 4.0 (TNCPI Level)

The Used Cooking Oil Collection Programme 4.0 was officially launched on 24 April 2026 (Friday) as the commencement of its fourth series at the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) (TNCPI). Held at the Go Green Corner, TNCPI, this initiative reflects the office’s continued commitment towards strengthening sustainable waste management practices within its internal community.

The launch day recorded encouraging participation among TNCPI staff, who contributed used cooking oil for recycling purposes. Despite being implemented at an internal office level, the programme serves as a strategic platform to cultivate environmental awareness, particularly on the responsible disposal of domestic waste and its impact on drainage systems and the ecosystem.

As an ongoing initiative, this fourth series is designed to encourage continuous participation rather than being limited to a single-day event. This approach enables sustained engagement among staff while ensuring a more meaningful and long-term impact in promoting a green workplace culture.

Although visual documentation of the programme is limited, the successful initiation reflects strong organisational commitment and positive staff engagement. The programme is expected to be further strengthened as a best practice model in supporting the university’s sustainability agenda.

Overall, the implementation of the Used Cooking Oil Collection Programme 4.0 at TNCPI marks a significant step towards more effective and sustainable waste management, in line with the university’s aspiration to foster environmentally responsible practices.
