April 9, 2026, UPM Serdang - The Workshop for the Evaluation of Vice-Chancellor Fellowship Awards (Research and Innovation Category) 2025 was successfully held on 8 April 2026 (Wednesday) at L'apprenti Restaurant @ Deli, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The workshop involved a total of 22 evaluators comprising experts from various fields related to research, innovation, and publication.

The main objective of the workshop was to assess and endorse nominations for the awards under the research and innovation category. The awards evaluated included the Excellent Researcher Award (Science and Technology / Social Sciences), Young Researcher Award (Science and Technology / Social Sciences), Journal Article Award (Science and Technology / Social Sciences), Innovation and Product Commercialisation Award, Book Publication Award, and the Arts and Creative Award.

Throughout the workshop, the evaluators conducted a thorough, transparent, and high-integrity assessment process based on the established criteria. Comprehensive discussions and reviews were carried out to ensure that only the most deserving and high-impact candidates were selected as award recipients.

Overall, the workshop successfully achieved its objectives and strengthened the selection process for the prestigious Vice-Chancellor Fellowship Awards in the field of research and innovation at UPM.
