

UPM SERDANG, June, 11 2026 – The Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Dato’ Profesor Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah FASc, together with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Zamberi Sekawi, was invited as a panellist on Astro AWANI’s Agenda AWANI programme to discuss the topic “Planetary Health | Addressing Climate Change, Protecting Public Health".
The segment focused on the interrelationship between climate change, environmental sustainability and public health, while highlighting the importance of research- and innovation-driven approaches in addressing increasingly complex global challenges.
The participation of UPM’s top leadership in this national media platform reflects the university’s recognised expertise in research and innovation while reinforcing its role as a leading institution contributing to evidence-based discussions and solutions for issues that have significant societal and national impact.
