UPM SERDANG, 15 May 2026 – The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) (TNCPI), Universiti Putra Malaysia, organised an awareness briefing on the MS ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) in preparation for the Internal QMS Audit scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 May 2026.

The briefing was held from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. at Mini Auditorium 1, Level 3, TNCPI Office Building, and was delivered by Ms Zenaida Md. Zenon from the Quality Audit Section, Quality Assurance Centre, UPM.

The programme aimed to enhance staff awareness and understanding of the requirements of the MS ISO 9001:2015 standard, particularly in relation to compliance with work procedures, document management, and the implementation of best practices in quality management systems.

During the session, participants received a comprehensive explanation of the fundamental principles of the Quality Management System, the importance of continual improvement, and the role of every staff member in ensuring the effective implementation of the system in accordance with established standards.

The organisation of this briefing reflects the TNCPI Office’s ongoing commitment to strengthening a culture of quality and ensuring that research and innovation governance at UPM is carried out systematically, efficiently, and with integrity.

This initiative is also aligned with the university’s aspiration to maintain internationally recognised management standards and to further enhance service excellence for the benefit of the university community and its stakeholders.
