February 1, 2024 - All members of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) extend their warmest congratulations to Mr. Md. Nizam Mahat @ Ibrahim on his appointment as the Head of the University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU) effective February 1, 2024.

 

The establishment of the University Laboratory Management Division (BPMU), approved through the 82nd University Management Committee Meeting (No. 36/2023) and the 888th Meeting (No. 42/2023), is placed under the structure of the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), UPM.

 

The official operation of BPMU began on January 15, 2024, with its Terms of Reference (TOR) as the central leader to Scheme C (Scientific Officer) for laboratory management activities, equipment, and facilities at UPM.

 

The establishment of this division is expected to further boost UPM's research focus as an internationally reputable RU university and strengthen and develop a centrally planned laboratory management policy taking into account the 3P elements (generation, saving, and productivity).
