February 27, 2024, Port Dickson - Prof. Dr. Zamberi Sekawi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation), and delegation conducted a field visit to the International Institute of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences (I-AQUAS) in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan on February 27, 2024. The visit was welcomed by the Director of I-AQUAS, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Zaharin Aris.

 

The field visit was also attended by Prof. Ir. Dr. Hj. Kamarul Arifin Ahmad (Director, Putra Science Park UPM), Prof. Dr. Mohd Adzir Mahdi (Director, Research Management Centre UPM), Mr. Shahriman Hashim (Head of Administration of the TNCPI Office), Mr. Md. Nizam Mahat @ Ibrahim (Head of the University Laboratory Management Division), and Mr. Mohd Khairi Hasan (Special Officer of TNCPI).

 

During the visit, there was an Interaction Session with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) and the staff of I-AQUAS, UPM. The delegation also took the opportunity to tour around the I-AQUAS area, including the aquaculture and marine research facilities. The delegation was also given the opportunity to release Renjong crab seedlings as an initiative to sustain fisheries resources to ensure the country's food chain.
