History




Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation) was established on 1st January 2006 that responsible for managing the university's research and innovation. The establishment of this office is to support the goals of the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in strengthening and consolidating the research, development and commercialization (R&D&C) in accordance with the status of UPM as a Research University (RU).

The mission of this office is to ensure UPM remains the RU to give full support to R&D&C by the entity under which the Administrative Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Research Management Centre (RMC), Putra Science Park (PSP), Center for Marine Science (COMAS) and UPM Publisher.
